Located 20 minutes east of Houston in Deer Park, Texas, The Battleground Golf Course offers a demanding championship layout. With large greens and numerous water hazards, this course is fun for both the beginners and experienced players alike. The course is unique in that each of the 18 holes has been given a name associated with the battle that took place on the San Jacinto Battleground, when troops under the command of General Sam Houston defeated Santa Ana. Aside from our first-rate course and facilities, The Battleground offers an experienced event staff and catering that can accommodate over 250 people.

Staff Bios
Michele has over 17 years in the recreation & events industry. She has experience in large scale tradeshows, corporate meetings and tournament and incentive events, including a primary focus for tournaments. Michele also has a long tenure hosting social evets as well as weddings. Michele has experience with Country Clubs, Hotels, Conference Facilities as well as Fine Dining and brings to Touchstone an eye for detail and extensive food and wine knowledge with exquisite service. While away from work, Michele is a DIYer, participates in a running club, enjoys live music but mainly chases after her two children and is an avid sports and theater Mom.

Event Space Descriptions
Driving Range
The Driving Range at Battleground Golf Course is part of our complete practice facility which includes spacious practice tees along with a chipping green and sand bunker so you can be ready to play. In addition we have a 3 hole practice facility available.
Tournament Pavilion or Awards Banquet
Our newly renovated banquet space and bar provides seating for up 225. It includes a projector, screen, microphone and podium for your your awards ceremony along with a relaxing venue for your after play banquet.
Cart Staging Area
Your carts will be staged behind the clubhouse with personalized carts signs showing your players names and starting hole. Our staff will be there also be there to make sure everyone finds their cart. Carts include personalized scorecards, USB ports, sand bottles and coolers. Ice is also available for your guests convenience.
Clubhouse
Our spacious spanish-style clubhouse includes a well stocked Pro Shop and a bar and grill for your guests enjoyment.

Dear Ms. Haugan: I would like to thank you and the Battleground team for helping me host another successful charity golf tournament. This has been our 8th year hosting with Battleground and the Battleground staff has been amazing every time. I have to say this year's tournament by far was one of the best that we have had. Our players even took an hour longer than usual on the course because they were having too much fun. Nothing but praise from our vendors and players. All the details were covered. Not sure how your team gets it done with my ≈140 players and 10+ vendors to deal with. Your team has always been so gracious in assisting me with set up and all my needs leading up to the shotgun start. I am truly thankful. Battleground has made our tournament a breeze to host. Our players not only get to enjoy the amazing greens but lunch was also a hit! Our players are fed out on the course but look forward to the tasty lunch provided by the Battleground kitchen. The menu options are awesome. Our players enjoy a nice plated lunch along with the mouthwatering dessert! There is nothing Battleground doesn't cover. From start to finish, the Battleground team has been accommodating to all of our needs. It is with your relentless attention to detail that we are able to host such an amazing tournament where we are able to give back to the community.
